I have been an elementary educator for the past 38 years. After completing a Masters of Education in the area of Educational Technology, I have wanted to share my knowledge of technology integration in the elementary classroom with other educators. My goal is help teachers use the technology that is available to them and see ways they can blend it with their level of expertise.

My personal experience has been integrating Windows, Android, and iPad programs into my second grade class. My students used technology to create books, word clouds, and personal graphs. Having a Smart Board in our classroom enabled me to present lessons in all subjects in more engaging ways. Students also were able to utilize web sites approved by me for skills practice. For smaller groups or individuals, students worked with educational iPad apps. The results were exciting.

On a professional note, I have provided professional development in the area of technology integration for my colleagues at in-house workshops and at SAU wide workshop days for the past four years. I will also be presenting workshops at both the NEA Learning Conference and the Christa McAuliffe Technology Conference this fall.

Let me help your teachers learn the 21st century skills their students need to learn by providing a variety of professional development opportunities right at your school.
